Reading the Ruins at West Hill
Despite carrying a shot penalty from a decent round at West Hill last year, Dave Reading, off 7, took the Peggy White Vase, scoring 35 Stableford points. He beat Nev Appleton, who pipped Mark Lomas for second place on count back.
The Peggy White used to be the trophy for the women’s knockout, which has not been played since 2004, so we decided to award it to the winner of our one-round October meeting, which was launched in 2020.
